What it does
- 01Takes the verdict of our risk system for every account, every minute.
- 02Sets the route for every new order: A-book, B-book or review.
- 03Hedges every A-book order automatically, on the same side as the client, within a second.
- 04Caps the B-book: per symbol, only the net over your limit is hedged.
- 05Writes every hedge order, and every order it refused, into a journal with the reason.
Two layers of protection
- Who trades
- The route looks at the person. The orders of a trader with a proven edge go to A-book, even when the book is flat. Smart money hurts the book at any size.
- How much
- The limit looks at the size. It does not care who bought. When everyone is on one side before the news, only the net over your limit is hedged.
How the route is set
- The route is computed in advance, every minute. An order never waits for a calculation.
- No verdict means B-book. The system fails safe, not open.
- The route stands on a 90-day class, not on last week. A route that flips back and forth costs the hedge twice.
- A sharp change in one week does not flip the route. It raises a review, and the dealer decides.
- Test and internal accounts are excluded before any verdict.
- Client accounts are not moved, and their settings are not changed. The hedge runs on a separate account connected to liquidity.
How the B-book limit works
You set a limit per symbol, for example 100 lots of EURUSD net.
Clients buy 150 and sell 50: the book is 100 net. Nothing happens.
The net grows to 130: the system hedges down to the normal level, half of the limit.
While the book stays inside the limit, the engine stays quiet. The gap between the normal and the limit stops a new order on every client deal.
Why a profit rule is not enough
On 90 days of live flow, a rule "profit over $1,000 → A-book" moved 143 clients and cost about $145,000 against the book.
The route moved 72 clients, only the ones with a repeatable edge: about +$33,000.
See it running → live.optionbase.proWhy it is different
- 15 years
- Built by an operator who ran the broker side, not by a software team.
- 8 brokerages
- The stack ran at about 8 brokerages in the last year, about 20 over the years.
- 1–3 hours
- A new rule or measure for your book is live in 1–3 hours, not in a release months later.
- Your settings
- Thresholds, groups and symbols are tuned to your flow. No two books get the same settings.
- Our own code
- Every system on this page is built and run by us. No third-party bridge or risk plugin in the path.
How it is delivered
We do not sell a licence. We connect it to your MT5 server and our FIX gateway, set your limits and operate it every day. Client accounts, groups and settings stay as they are.
More than a year on live flow, with no order routed by hand.
Questions
- Does it move accounts between groups?
- No. Accounts and their settings stay as they are. The route works per order: every new order of a client with a proven edge is hedged within a second.
- What happens if the analytics stops?
- Orders keep flowing. Accounts with no fresh verdict stay in B-book, and Prometheus and Grafana alerts fire.
- Can the dealer override a route?
- Yes. The dealer supervises; every review case waits for a human decision.
